Colorado Springs New Wedding Venue

I had the honor of being invited to do a style photo shoot for Colorado Springs newest wedding venue - The Carter-Payne. Shooting with me were three of Colorado’s finest wedding photographers; Sean Cayton, Kent Meireis, and Hardy Klahold. Making the shoot extra special were Claire and Nathan, our photogenic and fun couple for the afternoon. We had a great dress from Springs Bridal and Ballroom and beautiful flowers from Design Works A Floral Studio. Doing hair and make-up was Felicia Popescu. Here is a collection of some of my pictures from the day.

Denver Ritz-Carlton & Holy Ghost Church Wedding

Last fall we did a beautiful wedding for Michelle and Paul that involved two ceremonies. Michelle’s family is Catholic so we first enjoyed a Catholic wedding at Holy Ghost Church, downtown Denver. After that we traveled over to the Ritz-Carlton to honor Paul’s family with a wonderful Jewish ceremony. Then the Ritz-Carlton staff quickly flipped the main ballroom for a lavish and fun reception that ran until midnight. Michelle and Paul were a special couple to us because Paul was in a wedding I did a few years back for his friends, Paige and James. Album Design, Candice & Scott Vail Wedding

Immaculate Conception Cathedral & Brown Palace Wedding in Denver

WOW! WOW! WOW! Deanna and Gavin put together a wedding featuring one of Denver’s most prominent churches, Immaculate Conception Cathedral, along with Denver’s most famous landmark hotel, The Brown Palace. And, boy did they have fun! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a bridal couple improv their day with so much humor, joy and love. Needless to say it was a huge honor for me to photograph this wedding along with my associate photographer, Ben LaMarca.

Lionsgate Wedding, Lafayette, CO -Kristen & Chris

Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette, Colorado is always a great venue for a wedding and we had fun photographing Kristen and Chris’s wedding last month. I loved working with Kristen and Chris along with their wedding party and their families.

The 4th of July we had the honor of photographing Christina and Jeremy’s elegant wedding at The St Julien Hotel in Boulder, CO. Helping make everything run smoothly was Wendee Walter Vezzetti with Custom Weddings of Colorado. Helping me personally and contributing to our overall imagery was Kelly Shroads and Gabriele Woolever. Christina and Jeremy were such a joy to work with both at The St Julien and the CU Campus. Breckenridge Wedding for Robyn & Joe

A June wedding is suppose to be filled with sunshine so Robyn and Joe brought their own sunshine when Mother Nature decided the Breckenridge mountains needed some rain. The outdoor event at Grand Timber Lodge was moved inside for a love filled ceremony and the reception at Beaver Run Resort was filled with laughter. Evergreen, Colorado Home Wedding for John & Michelle

This past season we photographed a most amazing in-home wedding n Evergreen, Colorado for one of my favorite couples of all time Michelle and John. The wedding was conceived and executed with warmth, intimacy and nostalgia. Michelle wore John’s grandmother’s wedding dress from the 1930′s that John’s mother also wore in the 1970′s. Then to put a modern twist on things Michelle changed into a very contemporary dress for the intimate dinner party. Orchestrating everything behind the scenes with the hand of a maestro was wedding planner Kristen Samz of A Current Affair Weddings and Events . Helping me capture the breath taking moments moving past our eyes was my dear friend and world class photographer Joyce Keum of Studio JK . Beaver Creek Chapel & Beaver Creek Lodge Winter Wedding

We started off 2010 with a winter wonderland wedding in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Our couple, Hillary and David came up from Oklahoma with a supportive contingency of family and friends. Hillary started off her day with a four mile run accompanied by her mother and two sisters. It was fun photographing her in a wedding veil jogging in the snow. They had a beautiful religious ceremony in the picturesque Beaver Creek Chapel with their pastor from Oklahoma officiating the service. Their reception was held at The Beaver Creek Lodge using both the Art Gallery and Rocks Modern Grill. Here are some of my favorite pics from the day. Tara and John wed at Black Canyon Inn, Estes Park

Tara and John came to Colorado from Northern California for an amazing wedding at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park. This mellow couple planned a very special day which included an authentic Native American Indian wedding ceremony followed by a reception with the psychedelic electro-trance-fusion music of Yamn. The lights this band brought created some fantastic dance images. It was quite the wedding day and evening party! I’m honored I got to photograph it.
