Photographing the New Congress in Washington DC

On January 6, 2009 I was credentialed by the US Congress Press Gallery to photograph the swearing-in ceremonies in The House Chamber of the US Capitol. It was a very dramatic day for me to have access to most of the US Capitol building. I also photographed Betsy Markey, the newly elected Democratic Congresswoman from the 4th Colorado District and her family.
