Immaculate Conception Cathedral & Brown Palace Wedding in Denver

WOW! WOW! WOW! Deanna and Gavin put together a wedding featuring one of Denver’s most prominent churches, Immaculate Conception Cathedral,  along with Denver’s most famous landmark hotel, The Brown Palace. And, boy did they have fun! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a bridal couple improv their day with so much humor, joy and love. Needless to say it was a huge honor for me to photograph this wedding along with my associate photographer, Ben LaMarca.

Here are some of my favorite pics of the day. You can also check out a slide show of the entire day by clicking here.

Lionsgate Wedding, Lafayette, CO -Kristen & Chris

Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette, Colorado is always a great venue for a wedding and we had fun photographing Kristen and Chris’s wedding last month. I loved working with Kristen and Chris along with their wedding party and their families.

Here are some of my favorite pics of the day.

St Julien Wedding, Boulder -Christina & Jeremy

The 4th of July we had the honor of photographing Christina and Jeremy’s elegant wedding at The St Julien Hotel in Boulder, CO. Helping make everything run smoothly was Wendee Walter Vezzetti  with Custom Weddings of Colorado.  Helping me personally and contributing to our overall imagery was Kelly Shroads and Gabriele Woolever. Christina and Jeremy were such a joy to work with both at The St Julien and the CU Campus. Here are some of my favorite pics of the day. You can also see a slideshow of the day by clicking here.

Breckenridge Wedding for Robyn & Joe

A June wedding is suppose to be filled with sunshine so Robyn and Joe brought their own sunshine when Mother Nature decided the Breckenridge mountains needed some rain. The outdoor event at Grand Timber Lodge was moved inside for a love filled ceremony and the reception at Beaver Run Resort was filled with laughter. One of my new associate photographers, Ben La Marca, backed me up with some great images. Here are some of my personal favorites of the day. To see a slide-show of the full day click here.

Colorado Twin Lakes Wedding for Nicki and Aaron

Between Aspen and Leadville, Colorado are the last two glacier lakes in the state, Twin Lakes, Colorado where Nicki and Aaron had a most amazing Rocky Mountain high wedding. The day could not have been more beautiful and we were blessed to witness and photograph the day. Helping me was my Las Vegas photographer friend , Jerry Shaw. here are some of my favorite pics of the day. You can also check out a slideshow of the entire day day.

New York City Engagement Shoot, Ali & Justin

What a blast it was for Elizabeth and I to follow  Ali and Justin around NYC where they live, play and work. The visual opportunities are endless. We walked 42nd Street, took the New York Subway to Columbus Circle, then explored Central Park. In the evening we took a New York Skyline shot from the rooftop of Ali and Justin’s condo building. After that we went to Times Square, found the ‘LOVE” sculpture by Robert Indiana that was alluded to in the book cover design for  Eric Segal’s novel “Love Story, which starred Ali McGraw, who our Ali was named after. Also, their dog, Rocco, a Rhodesian Ridgeback found his way into several pictures. We are looking forward to photographing Ali and Justin’s 2011 wedding on St Lucia Island in the Caribbean. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the shoot, but you can also check-out a slide-show of the day with a visual surprise near the end. (Something new I’m experimenting with.)

New Mexico Wedding for Marisa and Daniel

Elizabeth and I had the most enjoyable time photographing Marisa and Daniel’s wedding in Los Lunas, New Mexico with a reception at The Isleta Casino in Albuquerque. A gorgeous day added to the beauty of this lovely couple, their fun bridal party and their amazing families and friends. A wonderful backdrop of the day was the Rio Grande River that we used for some fun bridal party shots. I’m posting some of my favorite pictures of the day here, but if you would like to view a slideshow of the entire day, please click here.

Little Raven & 15th St, Denver Engagement Shoot

I met up with Aaron and Nicki just east of Downtown Denver for an engagement shoot. Aaron and Nicki are an adventuresome couple who will have their wedding early this summer near Leadville, Colorado. I had a great time photographing this wonderful attractive couple just walking around the Little Raven area. here are some of my favorite pics from the shoot.

Vice-President Joe Biden Portrait Shoot

Last week I had the honor of photographing Vice-President Joe Biden while he was visiting Colorado. I photographed the Vice-President with several key Colorado Democrats including Congresswoman Betsy Markey. I found him to be a very energetic man, full of life, who found the time to genuinely connect with the people who crossed his path, including myself. I was happy to get a portrait of him that I feels shows a glimpse into his authentic self where he  relaxed for me and my camera. Here are a few shots from the shoot including one that he insisted on which includes me along with the Vice President and Congresswoman Markey. My favorite is the last one. In the art of truthfulness of photojournalism all pictures are straight-out-of-camera with no enhancements, Photoshop etc.

DENVER ISES Event at Catering by Design

This past week I photographed a fun event for The International Society of Event Specialists (ISES), Denver Chapter. It was hosted in the industrial space of Catering by Design, one of Denver’s premier catering companies. I’ve been a member of ISES the past four years and have valued the networking and educational benefits of being associated with Denver’s finest event planners, caterers, event venues, other photographers, entertainment companies, decor companies and other vendors involved in the event planning industry. For this particular event, attendees where put into teams who were challenged in a specific area of event planning by having to come up with a creative idea in a specific area like food preparation, table decor, mixology and a DJ song list. A panel of four distinguished judges selected the winners in each category. A fun time was had by all. Here are some of my pictures from the event. Also, if you would like to view a slideshow of the entire evening, click here.
